The social media tools are constantly evolving. Mobile devices have become a trend of sharing information via sms, hangouts, whats app, Facebook, Twitter. People are also enable to download apps. The desktop computer has become history.

it comes to social privacy, the company or organization should clearly
spelled out what is privacy and must be secured at all times.
Access to social media can be a challenge in terms of slow internet connection or the people does have the know how.

Social networking is a
platform for building communities. The most popular social networking is
Facebook and Twitter. These social networking sites focus on friendship
and personal relationship. Through social networking people can
share(ideas,music, video) create content, form groups of specific career
and even connecting with international companies.For example in my
company, Facebook page is used to communicate announcements of events to
students and staff and i strongly feel it should be emphasized for more
staff to utilize this kind of tool.

Day 2: Web 2.0 and Social Media for Development Training
I have never enjoyed a training like web 2.0 and social media for development. I thought yesterday was mind-blowing today was something else. It is getting better by the day.
In today's training:
- to retweet that is sharing a tweet with my followers
- creating a list where i can filter a group of people find information on the internet using a search engines or a directory.
- with the search engine Google when you click on images and then go to search tools you will get options on choosing a colour, size and also check the usage rights.
- also we learned on exact phrase to be or not to filter the information you are looking for.
- alerts and RSS whereby one can refine their search in Google by email or RSS.
- how to set up an alert.
- vanity search where you look for information for yourself on Google.
- how to link websites to one page to be able to read them and avoid having to visit different blog that by using Feedly.
- you can also create blogs into different catergories.
Today's training was very productive.

Day 1: Web 2.0 and Social Media for Development
Web 2.0 and Social Media training is enlightening. I have learned quite a lot. The importance of information sharing is outstanding. Web 2.0 is user friendly in the sense that it help people to access information with any device. During the training i could learned the difference between a blog and vlogg. Amazingly i have used Drop-box but i never knew that Drop-box is an example of cloud storage devices. The web 2.0 tools provoke me to get to know how to use them. What do you think about web 2.0 and social Media training?
